Wortmann turnover increase in the first half of the year amounted to 10,5%

In the first half of the year (fall-winter season 2011 from 1 June to 30 November) of the current fiscal year 2011 / 12 (as of 31.05.), The Wortmann group of companies increased its turnover to 503,1 million euros. In the previous year, the turnover amounted to 455,3 million euros. This corresponds to an increase of 10,5%. 

Based on the orders received so far, the group of companies expects to achieve a total consolidated turnover of more than 995 million euros. In the previous year, the company's annual turnover was 957,7 million euros. The expected export quota will increase to 54% (in the previous year it was 52,7%).

First of all, Russia has achieved successful development in export markets, where Wortmann is represented by its own subsidiaries for marketing products, and France. While the German market continues to improve, there have been slight losses in the UK and Ireland. According to preliminary forecasts, in the current fiscal year, Novi Footwear, a private Asian representative office, expects lower turnover indicators compared to the previous year. 

Due to the large availability of goods in retail at the time of the beginning of sales of the collection for the upcoming autumn-winter season 2012 / 13. In the main representative office of the company in Detmold, in particular, and in the shoe market, in general, a decline in growth is expected.

A record advertising budget of € 100 million over the next four years should help to achieve this goal more quickly. In addition to Germany, the main markets in which large-scale advertising campaigns will be deployed will be France and the Benelux countries, as well as Poland and the Scandinavian countries. In early May, the popular German glossy magazine Brigitte will publish the latest ranking of the results of communication analysis with the current marketing indicators of the degree of brand awareness. In the previous "recognition rating" published two years ago, the Tamaris brand reached 51%. In the current ranking in the main office of the company in Detmold, an increase in the brand awareness is expected to over 60%. In the area of ​​system partnerships, the top brand of the Wortmann group of companies Tamaris also retains growth potential. At the moment there are 685 retail spaces (in the previous year their number was 454). Of these, 210 are mono-brand stores, and 475 are branded zones.

Having already produced 31 million pairs of shoes for the fashion segment, as well as about 27 million pairs of shoes for the standard segment, the Wortmann group of companies is Europe’s largest shoe manufacturing and marketing company. The German manufacturer is the leader in the European market for the production of model women's shoes. In addition to the main Tamaris brand, the group of companies is represented in Europe by such brands as Marco Tozzi, Caprice, Jana and s.Oliver-shoes. In Asia, Wortmann is owned by Novi Footwear Fareast Ltd. Wortmann has 8 offices in Europe and 11 in Asia. The company has more than 1021 employees worldwide (in the previous year the number of employees was 930), of which 582 - in Europe (an increase of 12%). More than 30 000 workers around the world are manufacturing shoes for a group of companies from the German city of Detmold.
