It will not be easy for retail in 2014

Next year will be much more difficult for Russian retail than the current year. Vadim Novikov, a member of the expert council under the government of the Russian Federation, voiced this forecast within the framework of the multimedia business forum "Retail 2013: Growth Points".

According to him, this is due, among other things, to the fact that "the consumer is heavily credited" and is not sure about the future.

According to him, in 2012 the total volume of retail space in the Russian Federation amounted to more than 17,5 million square meters. m. By the end of 2013, this indicator is expected to grow to 22 million square meters. m.
