In Italy, the main trends of shoes for the fall-winter season were named 2012-2013

Shoe exhibition Expo Riva Schuh, which took place on January 14-17 in Riva del Garda, opened a new season - 1230 exhibitors, of which 886 were foreign, presented their fall-winter 2012/2013 shoe collections. The exhibition management emphasizes the international nature of the composition of exhibitors and visitors. In January, for the first time, companies from Luxembourg, Slovakia, Ethiopia and Russia appeared among the exhibitors. The number of Asian exhibitors is becoming more significant - this season there were 270 Chinese and 129 Indian companies at Expo Riva Schuh.

The exhibition of shoes was visited by 12 513 people. According to the online registration of visitors, 45% of visitors spend more than two days at the exhibition, that is, longer than the rest, this suggests that customers consider the exhibition a significant event in their commercial life. 10% of visitors come for all days of the exhibition. According to Carla Costa, the head of exhibition projects at Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, there are two more interesting figures in the study: 78% of visitors come to both the January and June exhibitions (Expo Riva Schuh passes 2 once a year), 19% arrived in January 2012 of the year never visited an exhibition before. The first figure indicates the high loyalty of regular visitors, the second - about the constant expansion of the audience.

And another important signal for both manufacturers and buyers is 44% of exhibition visitors were interested in accessories. In the future, Expo Riva Schuh plans to expand its theme precisely through this segment.

Expo Riva Schuh also approved the dates for the "subsidiary" project in India - Expo Riva Schuh India will be held in New Delhi on July 5-7. This project debuted last July.

According to the trends, monochrome models will be relevant, there will be more models in suede, there are a lot of colors - brick red, bright blue, emerald, orange, olive. Many inserts imitating the kilim technique, decorative zippers and square buckles. Animal prints appear interspersed. There are still many collections of fur-lapel ankle boots and a fur-lined sneaker in the collections. Heels, platform, flat soles - a variety of options are available in abundance.
