In the "new Moscow" shopping centers will not be

The authorities will not allow the construction of large shopping centers on the territory of "new Moscow". For shopping, residents of the annexed territories will be able to go to separate streets, which will be organized in the image of Tverskaya and Arbat. According to the chief architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, such a concept has not yet been documented, but will be considered in the near future.

“The Mayor has set the task of developing the city and making it harmonious. And with separate shopping centers and residential buildings, everything is scattered, ”explains Kuznetsov.

As you know, there are already shopping centers on the territory of "new Moscow", but they are few and far between residential areas. These include Mega Teply Stan, Lotos City, as well as Vnukovo Outlet Village and the RIO shopping center, which will be commissioned in the 4th quarter of 2014.

Experts believe that in the new concept of urban planning, only luxury brands will be able to open stores on the shopping streets of “new Moscow”, as well as on Tverskaya. For the mass market, residents of the "new Moscow" will have to go to the "old" one.
