British fashion house Jimmy Choo opens the first mono-brand boutique in Russia. The Moscow store will start operating in September 2011 in Stoleshnikov Lane, reports slow.ru
The Russian partner of Jimmy Choo will be Oksana Bondarenko, President of the distribution company Show-room Li-Lu. She claims that later it is planned to open a boutique in St. Petersburg, but does not name a specific date.
The British fashion house Jimmy Choo is known for its shoes, which, in particular, were highlighted by the English princess Diana. In 2003, Jimmy Choo received the honorary title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his services to fashion. Now Jimmy Choo owns 115 stores in 32 countries of the world and sells its products through online stores.
It is worth noting that many global manufacturers of luxury goods now refuse to work in Russia through intermediaries. The newspaper Vedomosti writes that the French Hermes, which has been represented by the Jamilco company in Russia since 2000, decided to work independently. An exclusive distribution contract between Hermes and Jamilco expires on 1 on May 2011 of the year.
Now in Russia Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Swatch Group, Richemont Group and other luxury brands independently represent their interests. From the end of 2011, Prada intends to do likewise.
