State Commission to Combat Counterfeiting Appears in Russia
In the near future, a state commission to combat counterfeit goods will appear in Russia, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
According to the minister, similar structures will be created in the Russian regions. The State Commission will monitor and evaluate the situation in this area on the territory of Russia, and will develop concepts, strategies and plans, as well as specific measures to counter illegal trafficking in industrial products.
“I am sure that the work of the new body will make it possible to increase the efficiency of state support for industrial enterprises by reducing the volume of supply of counterfeit and contraband products to our market,” the minister added.
By the beginning of the second half of the 2015 year, the Government of Russia will approve the staff of the state commission. According to the regulation, the chairman of the new body will be the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
