Today, on January 26, in Russia, under the auspices of the Association of Internet-trading companies, the third federal sale campaign Cyber Monday 2015 is taking place.
Among the participants are the retailers KupiVip, Lamoda, Detsky Mir, Lascana (Otto group). Also, another 40 companies that are not members of AKIT (Roxy, Quiksilver, DC Shoes, Trends & Brands, etc.) joined the action.
Online stores independently determine product categories, restrictions on the quantity of goods, delivery terms and sizes of discounts.
This Cyber Monday is held in Russia for the third time, despite the fact that the previous actions were unsuccessful for many participants. There were reports on the media and social networks that “retailers were caught in deception,” there were simply no discounts as such. In order to avoid such excesses this time, a “hot line” for consumers was organized on the basis of AKIT. Retailers hope that, given the economic situation in the country, the campaign will be more successful today than in the previous two years. Experts, however, believe that after the buying rush in the market at the end of last year, one should not expect any special sales records.
