For 24 hours, sales are held in the largest stores in the country and then open the season for shopping for gifts for Christmas. After Friday, Cyber Monday has been taking place for several years in a row, during which discounts reach their maximum in online stores.
The Russian version of the project will be a mixture of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
About a hundred online stores have already confirmed their participation in it. Among them are Quelle, Brend-in-Trend, TrendsBrands, Shoptime, Yoox.com, Alba, Tom Tailor, Love Republic and others.
Retailers are promising to host a 24-hour merchandise sale with up to 90% off - all on a dedicated BlackFriday2013 project website. Today they offer to register on it to be the first to know about discounts.
"Today, on the Russian e-commerce market, about 20% of the company's total annual turnover is accounted for during the New Year's Eve sales. There are already similar projects in the global experience of online sales. It's time to do something similar with us," comments Alla Suschevich, managing director director and co-founder of BlackFriday2013 in Russia.
