Sokolniki hosts ITALIA COMES TO YOU exhibition

On August 27 in Sokolniki the exhibition ITALIA COMES TO YOU opened - a large-scale project organized at the initiative of ENIT, Italy's national tourism agency. Moscow was the first Russian city to see and feel the taste of Italian life. Following the capital, the exhibition will go to St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.

The opening of the Moscow exhibition took place in the presence of ENIT President Matteo Mardzotto - the heir to the Italian textile empire Marzotto Group. Also at the opening ceremony were ENIT CEO Paolo Rubini, representatives of the Moscow government, Russian and Italian politicians and businessmen.

The “ITALY NEARBY” exhibition demonstrates what this country is best known for: tourism, fashion, cuisine, culture, luxury cars, world centers of art, unique nature and much more. According to the organizers, the main task of the project is to show Italy as a country that is unusually close to Russia in emotional terms, albeit geographically distant.

The exposition was located on 1 000 square. meters of the pavilion specially built in the Sokolniki Park and includes three main sections: culture, tourism and Made in Italy.

In particular, the MADE IN ITALY sector will present what the world-famous “Italian lifestyle” consists of: Maserati cars, Murano glass products, innovative Cayou shoes.

On August 31, an Italian fashion show took place - from retrospective models of the 50s. from the last century to the present day - Valentino, Gattinoni, Sorelle Fontana, Laura Biagiotti, Renato Balestra, Mattioli, Egon von Furstenberg, Curiel, Galitzine.

The exhibition runs from August 27 to September 4, every day from 10: 00 to 22: 00, admission is free.
