In the Tambov region, a line for the production of polyurethane-coated leathers was launched

A new production line was put into operation at the Raskom tannery in Rasskazovo, Tambov region. Now the factory can manufacture products that no one else in Russia had made before.

Since the start of the line for the production of natural and artificial leather with polyurethane coating, a new era has begun. Now such products are made in Russia, before only four countries in the world could boast of this.

“It's a shame that they produce in Italy, but not in Russia, and they bring and sell here at exorbitant prices. That is, we can produce leather cheaper than Italians and thereby conquer the market, ”said Olga Matvienko, General Director of PF Rascom LLC.

A 75 meter long production line is capable of producing up to 5 million square decimeters of treated leather per month. The process is continuous and automated to the maximum; the equipment serves only 12 people. The special chemical composition on the leather makes it waterproof, resistant to mechanical damage and frost.

“Everything is ready for Rasskazovo to become our federal center for the production of specialized footwear,” said Sergey Markin, chief federal inspector in the Tambov Region.

Such leather is used in many industries - from the manufacture of sports equipment, leather goods and furniture, to automobile production. So, sales problems at the factory are not expected. It is planned that 25 million invested in the line will pay off in less than three years. According to the materials of the State Television and Radio Company "Tambov".
