Dozens of stores close in Voronezh shopping center

In Voronezh, the crisis is beginning to affect trade - dozens of stores are closed in large shopping centers in the region.

Several shops are closed at once in the shopping center "Sunny Paradise" - mostly small shops selling clothes. In the same shopping center, a large store of goods for children is currently closed: the glasses are covered with paper, there is no sign. In the shopping center "Europe" the store of "low prices" was closed, and the shopping center "Perekrestok" on Leninsky Prospekt was practically deserted - some of the stores were closed, some moved to other shopping centers. At the same time, in the largest shopping centers - Gallery Chizhova and City-Park Grad - all shops are open as usual, traditional seasonal sales are held.

Owners of stores located outside shopping centers also refuse to do business: on one of the central streets of Voronezh, Plekhanovskaya, several stores have already been closed, selling mainly clothing, footwear, and haberdashery goods.

At the same time, according to Tatyana Goncharova, chairman of the Voronezh public organization "Association of Entrepreneurs", the increase in rent, if it happens anywhere, is not the main reason for the difficulties of small businesses at the moment. “Rent is increasing for those who rent premises from private owners. There are practically no municipal premises for rent today - we have created good conditions for the possibility of their purchase by entrepreneurs, and the majority took advantage of this. But at the same time, the maintenance of the premises has risen in price. But the main problem is a decrease in the purchasing power of the population, ”Goncharova said.
