Bottega Veneta Appoints New CEO

The owner of the Italian luxury brand of clothing, shoes and accessories Bottega Veneta Kering Group announced the appointment of Bartolomeo Rongone as the new CEO of the Bottega Veneta brand. The new manager will take office on 1 on September 2019 and will be subordinate to the head of the Kering Group, François-Henri Pinault.

Bartolomeo Rongon will succeed Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, who decided to leave the company to be closer to his family and for the sake of a new entrepreneurial project.

48-year-old Rongon has extensive experience in the fashion industry, he began his career as a luxury market analyst. In 2001, he took the position of Head of Business Intelligence at Fendi, focusing on supply chain development, product planning, and customer relationship management. In 2012, he joined the Kering Group, becoming COO at Yves Saint Laurent, where he oversaw clothing, footwear and leather goods, as well as global retail and customer relationship operations.

Kering group manages a number of fashion houses, leather goods, jewelry and watches - Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo, Qeelin, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, as well as Kering Eyewear. In 2018, Kering Group's sales turnover amounted to 13,7 billion euros.
