A new shoe design school opens in Italy

Shoe designer Mark Schwartz, a veteran in the fashion industry with 30 years of experience, whose portfolio includes his own collection of luxury women's shoes with high heels High Heeled Art, opened a school of shoe design in Italy.

The school is headquartered in Parabiago in Lombardy, in the center of the Italian shoe industry.

According to Schwartz, the classes will be held at a local factory, and the teaching will be held in tandem with an experienced technical designer who will assist in creating the samples.

Students will learn how to draw, make patterns and designs. In addition, they will visit tanneries and factories for the production of soles and shoe accessories, such as buckles. The cost of a six-day course is $ 2,225. This amount includes hotel accommodation, air travel and meals (group lunches and dinners).

The size of the group of students is from three to five students. Schwartz emphasized that the course may be of interest not only to beginners in the shoe industry. Professional shoe designers and designers working in related fields will also be able to learn new knowledge from the course.

Mark Schwartz worked as a designer of the French luxury brand of shoes and accessories Roger Vivier, participated as a designer in collaborations with the brands Balenciaga, Chanel, Gucci, Jean Claude Jitrois. He created shoes for the stars of show business Madonna, Julia Roberts, Sharon Stone, Lady Gaga and others.
