On the night of the riots in Almaty, 11 Grazie and Kimex clothing and footwear stores were smashed and robbed. Igor Kuznetsov, owner of the retail chain of stores Grazie and Kimex, which has 25 stores in the capital of Kazakhstan and 75 stores in the country as a whole, estimates the damage caused by looters at $ 2,5 million.
“It all happened in one night of riots in Almaty. The most affected are shops located on the central streets of the street retail format. Also, some shops in shopping centers on the outskirts were looted. Central shopping centers were not touched. Showcases were smashed, goods were looted both in sales areas and in retail warehouses, trade equipment was damaged, - says Igor Kuznetsov.
