Ozon branded check-in terminals will appear in stores of the Westfalika retail chain, which is part of the OR Group. The partnership will cover 15 cities of Siberia and the Far East - Barnaul, Khabarovsk, Amursk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Blagoveshchensk, Usolye-Sibirskoye, Bratsk, Kiselevsk, Rubtsovsk and others.
“Ozon is our second partner, with whom we began to work on the installation of automatic check points at the base of our stores. We are implementing this project as part of our strategy for the development of the last mile service, which is a key stage in the delivery of an online order. Since 2018 we have been opening
partner points of issue of orders on the basis of our stores, and from January 2021 we have been installing check-in terminals, - says Natalya Kulikova, head of the OR Group financial services group. - Placing OZON parcel terminals in retail outlets will allow us to offer another modern service to our customers, increase their loyalty and attract a new audience to the group's stores. So, at the end of July, the share of customers who come to our retail outlets for packages reached 20,5% of the total traffic. "
OR Group has been developing a project of partner points for issuing orders since the fall of 2018. To date, 16 partners are connected to the pickup point project; more than 3500 pickup points operate on the basis of the group's stores. In January 2021, the company began cooperating with the logistics operator Cainiao (Cainiao Network is part of the Alibaba Group) to open parcel terminals. The project of partner pickup points and parcel terminals, in addition to traffic and expanding the client base, contributes to the group's revenue: for example, in the first half of 2021, commission income tripled compared to the same period last year and amounted to 62 million rubles.
