In connection with the spread of a new strain of coronavirus, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin ordered the extension of the requirement for employers to transfer at least 30% of employees to remote work until April 1, 2022.
“We do not yet know how dangerous the new strain is for the older generation. In order not to expose him to additional risk, I decided to extend the home regime for people over the age of 1 and chronically ill citizens until April 2022, 60,” Sergei Sobyanin wrote on his personal blog. - Also, until April 1, 2022, the requirement for employers to transfer at least 30% of employees to remote work is extended. This measure works well, reducing the density of people in public transport and office buildings. And it is obviously premature to refuse it. Moreover, where possible, I would ask that the maximum number of employees be transferred to remote work. We announce these decisions in advance so that citizens and businesses can adjust their plans in advance.”
