This week in Moscow, the IV showroom of Brazilian shoes was organized by the representative office of the Brazilian Export Development Agency Apex-Brazil in Moscow and the Embassy of Brazil, with the support of the Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers (Abicalçados), as part of a program to promote Brazilian shoe brands for Overseas Brazilian Footwear. This time a record number of Brazilian shoe brands gathered in Moscow: the 21 company introduced 34 brands of women's, men's and children's shoes in various price segments.
The event was attended by all the largest players in the Russian shoe market. They were able to get a complete picture of the wide possibilities of the Brazilian footwear industry, meet potential suppliers and communicate with their long-standing partners. Over the course of three days, from 5 to 7 June, more than 300 business meetings took place at the Mariott Courtyard Moscow Hotel.
At the end of the 2016 year, Brazilian companies exported more than 1 million pairs of shoes to Russia totaling 11,8 million US dollars. Today, Russia occupies the 19-th place in the list of the main export destinations of Brazilian shoes.
