OR Group's online sales grow by one third on New Year's holidays

Between January 1 and January 10, OR Group's online sales grew by more than 30% compared to the same period in 2021. The sales leader was household goods, their share reached 32% of the total online sales in physical terms, according to a press release from OR Group.

On the westfalika.ru trading platform, household goods have become the fastest growing category. The range of home goods includes 1500 SKUs and includes textiles, interior goods, dishes, household goods, etc. The average check in the home goods category for the holiday period was 8 rubles. not only on the online marketplace, but also in Westfalika stores, their like-for-like sales grew by 13%, with bedding sets being the most popular.
It is noted that on the January weekend of 2022, the share of shoes in total sales decreased from 56% to 41%, and the share of clothing increased from 8 to 12%.

“The coronavirus pandemic has left its mark on consumer behavior and habits. Despite the significant easing of existing restrictions, our customers spend a lot of time at home, and therefore strive to make their apartment comfortable and cozy. This directly affects online sales. Another reason for the popularity of home goods during the holiday period is that they are often taken as gifts. Thus, the diversification of the assortment and the development of additional product categories allow us to smooth out the seasonality typical for the fashion segment and maintain high demand for our assortment during the traditional seasonal season. decline in sales of shoes and clothing,” comments Aleksey Chaplygin, head of online sales at OR GROUP.
In general, according to the results of 12 months of 2021, about 3 million goods were sold on the Westfalika marketplace.

OR Group  operates stores under the Westfalika, Rossita, Lisette, Emilia Estra and Peshekhod brands, and also develops S-tep, all.go and Snow Guard footwear and activewear brands and the westfalika.ru marketplace and owns two shoe factories. In 2020, the group's revenue amounted to 10,8 billion rubles, net profit - 0,6 billion rubles, EBITDA - 2,3 billion rubles.
