The prospects for the development of shoe production were discussed in Novosibirsk

At a meeting in Novosibirsk of the Obuv Rossii group of companies and the Italian consortium JC1, prospects for the development of shoe production in the Novosibirsk region were discussed. The meeting participants noted the attractiveness of the Novosibirsk region for the creation of a regional shoe center: a number of shoe enterprises are located here, Russian Leather announced the start of construction of a tannery in the Altai Territory, and the existing Novosibirsk Institute of Technology trains specialists for the shoe industry. Given the cluster approach, the concentration of shoe production in the region will also contribute to the growth of small and medium-sized businesses in related industries such as the production of technical equipment, accessories and packaging, as well as increase the competitiveness of the regional economy as a whole.
