The design of the new Vivienne Westwood and Asics collaboration is based on a drawing taken from the archives of the British brand

The new collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and Asics resulted in two Sneakers models, the main design element of which was the cult Squiggle print from the archives of the British designer. After teaserwhich came out earlier this year, Vivienne Westwood and ASICS released the official release of their collaboration. The capsule includes two models of sneakers GEL-KAYANO 5 OG and GEL-MAI Knit. To create the design of the GEL-MAI model, Vivienne Westwood turned to her legacy and used the “Squiggle” pattern, which first appeared in her fall-winter 1981 collection, as a print on her shoe. Sneakers are made in the same color combination of red and white as the original pattern. The top of the shoe is complemented by a knitted toe; on the heel of the sneaker there is a Vivienne Westwood logo. The “Squiggle” print has become a reference point for creating the design and the second model of the GEL-KAYANO 5 OG capsule, the sneakers are presented in red and orange colors. The archived pattern is launched across the entire lining of the shoe. The multi-colored Vivienne Westwood logo flaunts on the outside of the heel of the shoe. Both models will appear in Vivienne Westwood and Asics 27 stores in April. GEL-KAYANO 5 OG sneakers are priced at £ 155 (or $ 180), while GEL-MAI KNIT sneakers are priced at £ 185 ($ 190).
