In spite of the actively developing AliExpress and other platforms focused on the supply of goods from China, the new marketplace launched by Yandex.Market and Sberbank will be focused on the supply of goods from other countries. Clothing, footwear, as well as smartphones and gadgets will become priorities, the Vedomosti newspaper writes.

The trading platform has already concluded cooperation agreements with partners from seven of these countries. Deliveries to the marketplace will be carried out according to the Amazon functioning model - according to it, the seller delivers his goods to the marketplace warehouse in Europe (Yandex.Market has it in Latvia) or to partner logistics hubs. Then the goods will be sent to the buyer. Logistics is organized by the marketplace, so in case of problems with the dispatch, the seller will be able to make complaints to the site.

The most popular goods will be stored in the warehouses of the marketplace, so their delivery will take about two days, with clothes, shoes, smartphones and gadgets becoming priority goods. The average bill will be $ 30 for the clothing and footwear category, and $ 100 for gadgets.

Yandex.Market and Sberbank agreed on the creation of an electronic commerce enterprise based on Yandex.Market in December last year. According to the agreement, Sberbank will acquire the newly issued shares of Yandex.Market for 30 billion rubles. (about $ 500 million). At the time of the transaction, partners estimated the entire enterprise at 60 billion rubles. In May, the beta version of the marketplace was launched.
