In Russia, two bills are being prepared on the mandatory introduction of QR codes in transport, in cafes and shops. The entry into force of the bills will depend on the time of their consideration in the State Duma and the readiness of the regions to introduce QR codes, - writes RBC.
The first bill regulates the introduction of QR codes in public places. After its adoption, visits to public events, cultural organizations, catering establishments and retail trade will be allowed by a QR code or a medical withdrawal from vaccination with a negative PCR test or by a document stating that a person has had Covid-19.
The bill establishes a transitional period - until February 1, 2022, it will be possible to present a negative PCR test for passage to a public place. After February 1, such an opportunity will remain only for those who have a medical withdrawal from vaccination. The measure will be valid until June 22.
The bill does not affect the work of public transport, pharmacies, grocery retail and stores with essential goods.
The second bill introduces a system of mandatory QR codes on airplanes and trains. It is assumed that QR codes will be verified when tickets are sold.
