The authorities of St. Petersburg have decided to restrict visits to catering and retail outlets in order to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, and from January 2, 2022, they are introducing the QR code regime, RIA Novosti reports.
From this date, visiting cafes, restaurants, shopping centers and non-food retail will be possible only upon presentation of a QR code - thus, rest in a cafe and shopping will become available only for people who have been vaccinated against Covid-19, have had a disease, or who have a medical withdrawal from vaccinations.
The relevant changes to the government decree of March 13, 2020 No. 121 "On measures to counter the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in St. Petersburg" were signed by the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov.
