An exhibition of shoes “Genesis” has opened at the St. Petersburg Museum of Erarta

In St. Petersburg, the Erarta Museum of Modern Art has opened an exhibition called “Genesis”, which presents shoes created on the verge of fashion and architecture. The exhibition has more than 100 models from famous designers and architects, including Zaha Hadid, Californian artist Taylor Reeve, Japanese designer Noritaki Tatehana and Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen. Among the exhibits are shoes with heels in the form of sea shells, text slogans and oil rigs, sandals in multi-colored crystals and on cypress wood platforms, leather ankle boots with embroidery resembling tattoos of Australian tribes. The exhibition runs until March 20 2016.
