In September, the activity of the Russian e-commerce market broke the previous record, which was noted in May during the period of self-isolation, writes new-retail.ru with reference to the Data Insight analytical agency.
The number of online orders in September was 63,5 million. At the same time, the above statistics do not take into account food orders through specialized online stores and delivery services.
According to Data Insight, September online order volume is 5,3% higher than August, 2,5% higher than the previous record in May 2020 and 62% higher than last August.
According to analysts, the September results confirm that the long-term positive effect for the e-commerce market from the spring self-isolation is much larger than the short-term “gain” in April-May.
