Crocs Shoes Banned from School in US

A ban on plastic Crocs clogs as school footwear has been implemented in dozens of schools in a dozen American states. Although the brand's website even has a separate section called Crocs Shoes for School, with the same plastic clogs.

For example, Lake City Elementary School in south Atlanta recently changed its internal rules to say that “all students must wear closed-toe shoes for safety reasons, no Crocs.” Similar measures have been taken in Florida at LaBelle College.

Teachers complain about the inconvenience of Crocs shoes, frequent falls of students who wear clogs, fastening the strap of the shoe not on the heel, but in front. In addition, the signature charms "Jibbitz", which are attached to the holes on the top of the "Crocs", in their opinion, distract students from studying.

According to a report by investment bank Piper Sandler, Crocs is one of the favorite brands of American teenagers. This is explained by the brand’s numerous collaborations with popular personalities in the music scene, such as Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, Canadian singer Justin Bieber and other projects that attract the attention of a young audience.

Interestingly, after Crocs won the hearts of men, women and children around the world, the brand decided to take things a step further and teamed up with Bark to develop shoes made from phosphorescent plastic for dogs.
