The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuyvashev announced the lifting of restrictive measures on visiting shopping centers. The requirement to present QR codes when visiting shopping centers and stores located in them for the period from December 22 to January 20 will be canceled.
The governor explained his decision by a change in the situation associated with the incidence of Covid-19 in the region, a reduction in the number of severe cases of the disease and unloading of hospitals. He also noted that business suffers from restrictions during the pre-New Year period. “Having weighed all the pros and cons, I decided that from December 22 to January 20, when entering the mall and shops, there would be no need to show the code,” Kuyvashev wrote on his Instagram.
He also noted that in case of deterioration of the situation with morbidity, the regime of restrictions may be introduced again ahead of schedule.
