Beautiful woven shoes are the debut model in the launch of her own shoe line for Brooklyn-based fashion designer Christine Alcalay. Christine drew inspiration for the design from a trip to Peru and meeting local artisans. The price for a pair of Alcalay woven slingback shoes is $429.
At the same time, in Moscow, fashion designer Lilia Zakharova, inspired by Russian culture, created her own version of woven footwear. As you might have guessed, it is a modified model of Russian bast shoes.
