In the space of the Tsvetnoy department store, a young Russian premium shoe brand, Gottlieb Schwarz, has appeared. Shoes are produced by a small workshop in Moscow Leontievsky Lane, which is managed by its owner, shoe maker Andrei Zhakevich.
The Gottlieb Schwarz collection features women's and men's shoes. In its production, high-quality European leather and 100% natural materials are used, orthopedic pads are adapted to the characteristics of the Russian foot.
Gottlieb Schwarz workshop sews custom-made shoes, carries out shoe restoration, sells a small finished collection. The price for a ready-made pair of Gottlieb Schwarz shoes starts at 15 thousand rubles; custom-made shoes will cost the buyer about 30 thousand rubles. The cost of restoration is 1 rubles.
In addition, since November 2015, Andrei Zhakevich has been conducting shoe making courses in the workshop at Leontief. The course lasts 2 months, during the learning process, students create their own pair of shoes. Since November, the Gottlieb Schwarz workshop has already conducted three courses and trained about 60 people.
The owner of the workshop, Andrei Zhakevich, in the field of tailoring, considers himself self-taught - “he worked in shoe shops in Moscow, and also studied shoe making at the studio of Stefano Bemer in Florence.” Upon returning from Italy, he opened his own business of tailoring and restoration of shoes, as well as training in shoe craft in Moscow.
