Orthopedic footwear production launched in Volgograd

The company "Doctor Ort" invested 20 million rubles in the creation on the territory of the Volgograd shoe factory of modern production of complex orthopedic shoes and semi-finished products for its manufacture, writes VolgaPromExpert.

The factory is equipped with an Italian automatic cutting complex, sewing machines for processing heavy leather materials. For finishing the shoes, a shoe repair machine with a press is used.

The company purchases raw materials for the production of footwear from Russian suppliers from Yaroslavl, Kirov and the Moscow region. Currently, the production employs about 30 people. The factory is capable of producing up to 15 thousand pairs of shoes per year. At the time of launch, the enterprise is focused on the production of about 4 thousand pairs per year.

The company manufactures products for individual orders and under government contracts through the Social Insurance Fund, including orders from the Volgograd Social Insurance Fund for the manufacture of orthopedic footwear for the disabled, inset corrective elements, and inset shoes.

According to Dmitry Aksenov, Director General of Doctor Ort, the need for orthopedic shoes in the Volgograd Region among citizens with and without disabilities is about 7,5 thousand pairs per year. The new manufacturing enterprise is ready to fulfill orders for the production of social footwear for law enforcement agencies and to produce casual shoes of the comfort class.
