In January-April of 2019, the volume of footwear imports to Russia decreased by 30,4%

According to preliminary data from the Federal Customs Service, in January-April of the 2019 year, compared to the same period in the 2018 year, imports of shoes from non-CIS countries to Russia in value terms decreased by 30,4%. The import of textiles and footwear in the reporting period decreased by 13,6%, to $ 853,3 million.

In April 2019, relative to April 2018, imports from non-CIS countries increased by 5,0%. At the same time, purchases of textiles and shoes increased by 6,1%, imports of shoes increased by 17,2%.

In total, in January-April 2019, imports of goods from non-CIS countries in value terms amounted to $ 65,709 billion and, compared to the same period in 2018, decreased by 0,8%. In April 2019, the value of imports of goods from non-CIS countries amounted to $ 18,528 billion and increased by 2019% compared to March 3,4.
