Valentino designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli create a new language using traditional techniques. In the Timestrings capsule shoe collection, they explore the concept of time, harmony and excellence in shoe art.
The Timestrings collection is presented by 10 pairs of shoes in which the main elements of Valentino House and the whole world of high fashion are reinterpreted. Flowers, lace, crystals and red color represent a new aesthetic full of energy and strength. Tiny bows adorn the ankle boots, a high plexiglass heel contrasts with dark velvet, classic boats are decorated with rivets and semiprecious stones, and boats with an open cape are made from a combination of lace and nappa leather. The color palette is as iconic as the design: beige, red, black and ivory.
A key detail of this limited edition, completely handcrafted, is that each model is stamped with the time it took to make it: 01.39h: 48 ': 39' - this means model # 1; the time spent on making - 39 hours 48 minutes 39 seconds - this is how a truly exclusive fashion is created, which simply turns time into a time of inventions and new discoveries.
