Collaboration with Chinese online giant Alibaba will allow the luxury brand to promote the exclusive Valentino Garavani Candystud shoe and bag collection in a pop-up store located in Beijing’s Sanlitong District and in a virtual 3D store on the Tmall Space online site owned by Alibaba, WWD writes .
The Valentino Garavani Candystud collection includes bags, four pairs of sneakers and a collection of leather accessories. A temporary offline store will open in the Sanlitong district of Beijing this Friday. Pre-order collection items are already open.
580 million mobile device users visit the Tmall site every month; Tmall management made a lot of efforts to attract Western brands, especially the luxury segment, many of which were skeptical about the appearance of one of the mass-market brands in space.
In this regard, Tmall created on its site the exclusive space of the Luxury Pavilion - a kind of online home for luxury brands, which provides an individual approach to customers. The luxury venue was launched last year with the support of Burberry, Hugo Boss, Guerlain and Maserati
