VK launches digital fitting room
VK presented a demo version of a virtual fitting room in the VKontakte mini-app, which will allow you to create an image online for free from a photo with items from 20 Russian brands. Among them are Love Republic, YOU WANNA, Studio 29 and others. More than 1 items are available in the fitting room, the catalog is updated daily.
The neural network-based mini-app allows you to try on clothes in 2D format and combine brands within one image. The user only needs to upload a full-length photo: the app will evaluate the person's parameters and try on the selected items, taking into account the length of the items and their fit. The mini-app currently only allows you to select clothing items, but soon products from other categories will appear, including shoes.
Users of the mini-application can add any number of items to favorites, save ready-made looks and view them in the future, share the results of trying on in VKontakte stories and rate generations on a five-point scale. If one or more items in the digital fitting room are liked, the user will be transferred to a dialog box with representatives of the brand community in one click and will be able to quickly place an order.
