The owners of OR Group (the former Obuv Rossii Group of Companies) and the administration of the Novosibirsk Region are looking for a buyer for the S-TEP footwear factory located in Berdsk, which is part of the OR Group, TASS reports.
Formerly holding shut down his factory to optimize operating costs. OR Group, one of the largest retailers in Russia, said that it is in the process of restructuring its debt portfolio and is negotiating with banks to extend credit lines.

The authorities of the region, in particular, appealed to representatives of the Belorussian light industry concern (Bellegprom) with a request to consider the asset.
The S-TEP factory in Berdsk was founded in 2000 by entrepreneur Ilya Teper. In 2015, the business was sold to Obuv Rossii Group of Companies. At that time, the factory's capacity was 500 thousand pairs of shoes per year. In 2016, the company launched a line worth 100 million rubles for the production of specialized footwear for the military, police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It was assumed that with the launch of new production, the factory would be focused on government purchases.
