The owners of the "European" will build a shopping center at the All-Russian Exhibition Center

A new shopping and entertainment complex with an oceanarium may appear on the territory of the All-Russian Exhibition Center. Its area will be 300 sq. m, writes Kommersant. The co-owners of the Evropeisky shopping center and the Ukraina hotel want to build the shopping center, God Nisanov and Zarakh Iliev. In return, they offer to restore some of the pavilions and fountains at the All-Russian Exhibition Center at their own expense and are ready to invest about $ 000 billion in the entire project. First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, who left the chair of the center's board of directors on Friday, tentatively approved this plan.

Meanwhile, the Moscow government is suing Nisanov and Iliev. At the end of July, the City Hall Property Department filed two lawsuits against the owners of the Evropeisky shopping complex in the Moscow Arbitration Court. In April 2003, the city and CJSC Kievskaya Square entered into an investment contract for the reconstruction of the Kievsky Station Square. And initially it was assumed that during the reconstruction a shopping center with an area of 72 thousand square meters will be built. m, 30% should have gone to the city. The center turned out to be 2,5 times larger (179 thousand square meters), but the city did not receive anything.

Because in June 2004, the parties signed an additional agreement to the contract. To manage the project, Ploschad Evropy OJSC was established, and the parties contributed their shares in the project to its capital. Moscow received 30% in the capital of Ploschad Evropy, and Kievskaya Ploshchad 70%. Now on "Europe Square" not all areas of the "European" are registered, but 53 984 square meters. m. Here in them Moscow can claim 30% - 16 195 sq. m. m.

The difference between what Moscow has and what it claims to be is 37 789 sq. m. In its lawsuits, the city does not dispute the supplementary agreement, but the registration of property rights to the entire complex - it asks that the right of ownership of the “Square of Europe” to 53 984 sq. m and "Kiev Square" - on 125 961 square. m
