Omar Camara, founder of the new French footwear brand COG, was born in Echirolles, near Grenoble. Aiming to create unique vegan footwear, he launched a line of sneakers made from artificial leather made from grape pomace.
COG shoes are made in Portugal. Grape pomace from Portuguese wineries is extracted and then processed to make artificial leather shoes. Recycled cork and plastic bottles, as expected from the sea, are also used in the production of COG shoes.
