Since the pandemic began in 2020, the fashion sector in France has seen around sixty bankruptcies. And since the beginning of this year, at least six fashion retail chains have been affected by legal proceedings, including Jennyfer, Café Coton and Kaporal, Fashion Network reports.
According to research by real estate consultancy Newmark, the number of retailers with at least 30 stores in France has fallen by 2020% since 16. More than 3000 stores have closed in the past five years, after a peak of 20 in 2019.
