The center, which opened at the Lefaso Center in the Vietnamese province of Binh Duong, is a joint project of the two countries of Italy and Vietnam, created to stimulate research and technology development in the leather shoe industry, writes worldfootwear.com.
Italy, thanks to its experience in the footwear and leather industry, will help Vietnamese companies with the launch of a new technology center. We are talking about technology transfer, staff recruitment and training.
The new center is equipped with modern equipment from Europe; it will help local companies working in the shoe leather industry receive knowledge about new technological processes in the manufacture of leather shoes. The center will closely cooperate with the Ho Chi Minh College of Industry and Trade in organizing training programs for specialists in the field of footwear manufacturing, design and product development at shoe enterprises in Vietnam.
