The 20th Vietnam International Footwear & Leather Fair was held from November 16 to 18 in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together major manufacturers and suppliers from Vietnam and around the world, Vietnamplus reports.
The exhibition featured new machinery and equipment for the footwear and leather industries, materials, products, systems and technologies, as well as new business initiatives.
The leather and footwear industry in Vietnam has been able to benefit from free trade agreements, including the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (CPTPP), and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
According to the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Bag Manufacturers Association Lefaso, Vietnam's leather and footwear production increased by 10% in the first 2022 months of 17,7. In the first three quarters, export orders to the country's main export markets, such as the US and EU, rose by more than 10%.
