Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen and The North Face are releasing their second collaboration this week, following the first one unveiled at last year's Paris Fashion Week.
This time, the collaboration plays on the union of functionality and style. The North Face hiking boots have acquired a fashionable flair thanks to 3D flower appliqués. Even the lace-up fastener is shaped like a flower. At the same time, the floral theme is presented in monochrome black.
The upper part of the shoe is made of functional materials, and the Vibram sole guarantees durability and grip. The inner boot up to the ankle can be taken out and worn as slippers. The set of shoes includes a dust bag with a flower fastener on a drawstring.
The collection is completed by short Mountain jackets with taped seams, a Mountain dress with adjustable bib-like suspenders, drawstring shorts and bags.
The Cecilie Bansen x The North Face Glenclyffe boots and the rest of the collection will launch Thursday, May 13, on the brands' websites and in select The North Face stores. Prices for the collaboration range from $250 for a clutch to $1000 for a longer Mountain Jacket, while the shoes will retail for $350.
