Moscow hosted the 36th international exhibition of footwear and finished leather goods “Obuv. World of leather-2012. Spring". It was attended by 350 companies from 10 countries: Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Turkey and Switzerland. Russia was represented at the exhibition by about 40 companies.
Among the exhibitors of the spring exhibition are Marino Fabiani, Mario Cerutti, Baldinini, Fabi, Loriblu, Nando Muzi, Ripani, Braccialini, Nursace.
On an area of about 7 thousand square meters. m. women's, men's, children's, domestic and leisure shoes were presented; rubber and felted shoes; promising collections of model shoes, as well as finished leather products - clothing, leather goods: bags, belts, suitcases, gloves; products for the care of shoes and leather goods.
A significant part of the exhibition space at the exhibition “Shoes. World of leather-2012. Spring ”was given to various leather goods. Of great interest was the specialized salon of bags, leather goods and accessories, which was organized for the twelfth time.
Within the framework of the exhibition “Shoes. World of leather-2012. Spring ”hosted the XX International Shoe and Accessories Designers Competition SHOES-STYLE'2012, organized by the Moscow State University of Design and Technology. The competition has been held since 1998 under the patronage of the master of Russian fashion Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Zaitsev in order to identify and search for new creative personalities who realize themselves in the field of modeling shoes and accessories, establish fruitful creative and professional contacts.
The SHOES-STYLE'2012 competition is held among young designers, students of higher and secondary specialized institutions in the categories: Pre-a-Porte, Couture, Avant-Garde, Accessories (creative competition), Intellectual (theoretical competition), Graphics. Students from more than 15 universities of Russia, Germany, Poland, the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine took part in the competition. The winners were given the opportunity of an internship at the Ars Arpel school in Italy, participation in the final competition at the shoe exhibition in Dusseldorf in Germany.
The program of business events of the exhibition “Shoes. World of leather-2012. Spring ”included master classes from leading market experts and seminars:“ An overview of the labor market in the shoe industry ”,“ Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing in social media using the example of a blog, Facebook and Twitter ”,“ Marketing technologies ”,“ Fashion trends for the fall- winter of 2012 of the year ”, etc.
