The anniversary 90 exhibition of shoes Expo Riva Schuh was held from 16 to 19 on June in the Italian city of Riva Del Garda, gathering over 12000 visitors. In total, there were 1474 exhibitors from 37 from different countries at the exhibition. Brands presented their spring-summer 2019 collections at the exhibition.
This year, for the first time, with the Expo Riva Schuh exhibition complex Riva Del Garda, an exhibition of bags and accessories Garda Bags was held.
Among the visitors to both exhibitions were delegations from Croatia, Serbia, Russia and Ukraine, which was due to the close cooperation of Expo Riva Schuh with ICE.
The event organizers also note the development of relations with countries such as Vietnam and South Africa. Five South African companies took part in the exhibition as exhibitors.
“The presence of exhibitors from around the world allows us to identify the main trends in the global shoe market,” says Carla Costa, Managing Director of the Riva del Garda Congress Center. - At the moment, the relevance of “comfort” can be noted, as a result, sneakers of various colors and textures created using colored and contrasting fabrics predominate in the collections of brands. As for materials, today natural and technological materials, embroidery, opaque metal are relevant. The image is rather relaxed. Slip-ons remain in the trend, some models come with leather soles, others with soles made of rope material, with multi-colored straw appliqués. ”
It is worth noting that the Expo Riva Schuh held an open discussion on the topic “(Too) fast for fashion: digital technology and the speed of fashion”, which discussed the relationship between digital technology and the acceleration of timelines for the creation, production and design of products.
The digital revolution is becoming increasingly important along with the growth of e-commerce platforms and the spread of new technologies for manufacturing and retail, as well as offering companies new opportunities in terms of personalization and expanding sales markets. Nevertheless, brands should not miss the opportunity of emotional impact on the consumer, which occurs only in the process of physical contact with the product and its history. So, despite the active development of e-commerce and the emergence of new technologies for promoting brands on the Web, trade fairs are still very popular events, the organizers of Expo Riva Schuh are sure.
“The quality of the event, which can be seen in the exhibition halls of the two Expo Riva Schuh and Garda-bags exhibitions, proves once again that our exhibition is an effective tool not only for promoting products, but also for analyzing trends in the international market,” says Head of the Riva del Garda Congress Center, Oberto Pellegrini.
