Due to the extension of the quarantine in Germany, Gallery Fashion & Shoes, a professional footwear show scheduled for January, will be held exclusively in digital format. Previously, event organizers hoped to host a hybrid exhibition, which was supposed to combine the online format and the traditional expo show at the Areal Böhler exhibition center in Düsseldorf. However, the second wave of the pandemic has made its own adjustments.
“Since the insulation has been extended until the end of January 2021, Gallery Fashion & Shoes will no longer be able to implement the traditional exhibition event at Areal Böhler. We informed our exhibitors about this on January 8, 2021: the exhibition will now be held only in digital format, but will run longer: from January 28 to February 15, 2021, ”said Ulrike Köhler, Managing Director of Igedo.
The organizers of the event spoke about the upcoming launch of the Gallery Fashion & Shoes virtual exhibition back in mid-December. The digital version of the exhibition assumes the presence of an exhibition area with 3D-stands of participants, as well as virtual reception areas and a conference room, where lectures and presentations will be broadcast in the recording. Communication between exhibitors and guests of the exhibition will be provided by text and video chats.
Igedo plans to hold the next exhibition in the traditional format from 7 to 9 March 2021, however, the organizers of Gallery Fashion & Shoes assume the right to postpone these preliminary dates of the event, taking into account the epidemic situation.
