The anniversary MICAM exhibition will feature collections from 870 brands, 401 of which are from Italy and 469 are international. The top five participating countries will be Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Germany and Portugal. The organization expects 30 buyers from 000 countries.
The 100th MICAM will open with a ceremony dedicated to Italian craftsmanship in footwear and accessories, celebrating the Made in Italy brand.
In addition to the presentation of the SS'26 collections, the organisers have prepared a special exhibition, '100 STEPS INTO THE FUTURE', which will trace the evolution of taste, style and technology through iconic images. "Each decade will be represented by two models: one lifestyle shoe, reflecting everyday trends, and one sports shoe, symbolising innovation and performance."
The theme of innovation will be explored in the Trends and Materials area, where an AI-based buyer's guide will be demonstrated; innovations for retail will be presented in the Future of Retail area. As usual, MICAM will introduce guests to the works of 12 young designers.
