Wildberries invests in the construction of a distribution center in Tatarstan

Wildberries will build a distribution center in Tatarstan with an area of ​​100 thousand square meters. m. within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the founder and CEO of the Wildberries online store (Wildberries LLC) Tatyana Bakalchuk.

Investments in the construction of a large Wildberries distribution center with an area of ​​about 100 thousand square meters in Zelenodolsk. m. will amount to about 5 billion rubles. The commissioning of the logistics complex is expected in the second half of 2020. The company also plans to open the Wildberries e-commerce center of expertise in Tatarstan, which combines logistics and educational functions for suppliers. In addition, Wildberries will continue to develop its own chain of pick-up points in the Republic.

 

“Today in Tatarstan systematic work is underway to develop the e-commerce market. Large e-commerce companies such as Wildberries play an important role in this development. Thanks to this cooperation, we not only attract direct investments, but also take another step in the development of the digital economy of the republic, ”said the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev.

Founder, CEO of Wildberries Tatiana Bakalchuk, in turn, noted that 40 suppliers from Tatarstan are working with the company today. In total, the number of suppliers is about 14 thousand individual entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses. “We are confident that thanks to the agreements reached, the pool of our partners from Tatarstan at Wildberries will continue to expand: many talented entrepreneurs are developing their business in the Republic, whose products will undoubtedly find their customers in all countries where Wildberries are present, and we, for our part, will provide the necessary consulting support ”, - she commented.

Wildberries Is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 15 years. The geography of the company's presence covers five countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. Wildberries turnover in 2018 grew by 72% and reached 118,7 billion rubles, in the first half of 1 - by 2019% to 79 billion rubles. About 85 thousand orders are made daily on Wildberries. Its own network of points of issue of orders has about 500 thousand points in five countries. The Wildberries assortment includes over 4,9 million products from 2,6 Russian and foreign brands: clothing and footwear, accessories, beauty products, baby products, appliances and electronics, household goods, jewelry, food, books and much more.
