Wildberries increased revenue by 79% in the first half of 2019

Wildberries sales turnover in the first half of the 2019 year reached 85 billion rubles, increasing by 2018% compared to the same period in 79.

In the second quarter of 2019, sales amounted to 46 billion rubles. Sales growth compared to the second quarter of 2018 of the year was 74%. The management of the online platform links the growth in sales with the expansion of the range and the growth of its own network of points of delivery of orders.

In the 2 quarter of 2019, the turnover grew most rapidly in such categories as electronics (+ 617%), office equipment (+ 581%), pet supplies (+ 403%), food products (+ 394%), tools (+ 333%), garden equipment (+ 323%), holiday products (+ 293%), stationery (+ 246%), garden tools (+ 242%) and household appliances (+ 230%).

Significant sales growth in the second quarter of 2019 was observed in the Leningrad region (+ 176%), the republics of Karelia (+ 159%) and Adygea (+ 115%), Kaliningrad (+ 109%) and Vladimir regions (+ 108%). 

The number of orders in six months doubled to 65 million units. Over 80% of orders customers prefer to receive at Wildberries order points. Own network of points of delivery of orders for six months has grown by 1800 points and today has about 4700 points located in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. 

Wildberries - The largest online retailer in Russia. According to the company, the turnover of Wildberries in 2018 amounted to 118,7 billion rubles. The company employs more than 22 000 employees. The geography of Wildberries presence covers five countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. More than 400 thousand orders are issued daily in the company's online store.
