Wildberries opened access to the platform for goods from Armenia

The largest Russian online retailer Wildberries opened a logistics center in Yerevan and now local entrepreneurs can sell their goods through an online platform in new markets. 

Wildberries opens up the opportunity for entrepreneurs from Armenia to directly sell goods to other countries where the site has a presence, Russia was the first country. Thanks to this, manufacturers from Armenia will be able to expand their product range on the online platform and increase revenues. 

The sale of goods from Armenia is carried out according to the “Marketplace” model: after receiving orders, sellers bring them to the company’s warehouse in Yerevan, after which the logistics service of the site delivers them to buyers. The trading commission for sellers is from 3% depending on the category of goods. 

“We continue to develop Wildberries as an online platform for small businesses, making it even more convenient and technologically advanced for entrepreneurs from different countries. We have a successful 5-year history of cooperation and friendship with Armenian business representatives: in 2018, Wildberries opened in the country, in 2021, partner pick-up points began to appear, and in 2022, a logistics center was opened,” the press said. -Wildberries service.   

The Wildberries press release notes that products from Armenia are in high demand on the Wildberries online platform: for 11 months. In 2022, its sales grew by 71% year-on-year to RUB 290 million. The fastest growing demand is for accessories (+958%), cosmetics and perfumery (+449%), household products (+312%), food (+276%) and clothes for newborns (+267%).
