Wildberries opened a logistics center in Armenia

Wildberries opened the first logistics center in Armenia and launched on the online platform direct sales of goods from representatives of local businesses using the “mock-place” model (from sellers’ own warehouses).

At the first stage, work on the “marketplace” sales model for Armenian entrepreneurs is available only within the country, but in the future the geography will be expanded to other countries, including Russia.

In real time, entrepreneurs receive information about orders and deliver goods to the sorting center, from where they are sent to customers. In addition, the new logistics center also sorts out orders entering the country.

For entrepreneurs in Armenia, there is a simplified registration procedure on the seller.wildberries.ru portal: to start selling, it is enough to go through a short registration and post information about the goods.

“We continue to develop our partnership and friendship with Armenia: in 2018, our online store launched here for the first time, in 2021 we launched a franchise to open pick-up points together with local businesses, and now we are taking the next important step – we are opening a new sorting center and launching direct sales from entrepreneurs of the country. We are confident that this will take our partnership to a new level, support local businesses and increase their presence in the online segment,” commented the Wildberries press service.

Wildberries continues to expand its online platform for local entrepreneurs from different countries. In 2020-2021 direct sales were also open to business representatives from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Wildberries is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 17 years. The geography of the company's presence covers all regions of Russia, as well as a number of foreign countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, etc. Turnover of Wildberries in 2021 grew by 93% and reached 844 billion rubles. Every day, 4 million orders are placed on Wildberries, the monthly audience of the online retailer is over 113 million users.

As of May 2022, over 700 Russian entrepreneurs sell their goods through Wildberries. The Wildberries range includes about 000 million SKUs of goods from 28 Russian and foreign brands: clothing and footwear, accessories, beauty products, children's products, appliances and electronics, household goods, jewelry, food, books, digital goods and much more . About 300% of goods are produced in Russia.
