Wildberries notes the growth of purchases through mobile devices in Russia

According to the analytics of the Russian online store Wildberries, in January-September 2020, the share of buyers making purchases on the site through the Wildberries mobile application increased from 78 to 83%. At the same time, the number of users over the age of 55 making purchases via tablets and smartphones in September 2020 grew 4 times year-on-year. 

According to Wildberries analysts, the number of users of mobile applications and the mobile version of the Wildberries website in September increased 2,3 times compared to September 2019 to 17,2 million, which was the maximum indicator in the entire history of the company. The share of goods purchased through mobile apps and the mobile version of the site increased from 78% in January to 83% in September 2020. 

The audience of “mobile” shoppers aged 55 and older on the Internet site has reached 1,3 million people. The most active “mobile” shoppers in September were women aged 25 to 34. Most often, using mobile gadgets, they purchased goods and underwear for newborns (92% of the number of purchased goods were ordered through applications and the mobile version of the site), accessories for babies and baby food (91%), as well as clothes for newborns (90%).
